Hu-Tech are a leading supplier of Human Factors Engineering (HFE) services to the Energy industries and a preferred supplier to a number of major oil/gas operating companies and engineering contractors. We are proud to have supported over 150 capital projects around the world including Europe, Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, Asia and Australasia.
Our experience ranges from providing HFE support to engineering design projects from Concept through Operate stages, to undertaking discrete assessments (e.g. PUWER, incident investigation) on operating assets, and providing HFE training courses and awareness seminars. Hu-Tech were involved in the Nu-Decom Consortium, developing solutions for remote operation of robotic scanning, sorting and segregating of NUCLEAR waste at Sellafield. The funding was provided by Innovate UK. We represented the Human Factors discipline in Norway's flagship CARBON CAPTURE and STORAGE project, 'Northern Lights' during design development with the Engineering company engaged. We have worked with RENEWABLES companies to manage Wind Turbine manufacturing. Our offshore experience in the OIL & GAS industry also has translated well for managing the complex maintenance and access issues for maintaining wind-farms at sea. Hu-Tech have also worked closely with the UK HSE to undertake research and develop guidance material for the offshore sector, and requirements of the offshore Safety Case and COMAH Regulations. We are very familiar with the application of relevant HFE & safety Statutory Regulations and industry standards. Our principal services include: Engineering Design:
