The Hu-Tech team have been working with the UK Safety Case Regime since its introduction in the early 1990s. Members of the team contributed to the Technical and assessment guidance for Human and Organisational Factors and have extensive experience in the assessment of Offshore Safety Cases. This includes a detailed understanding of the criteria for Level 1 and Level 3 Issue Note and the technical and legal requirements for Issue Notes to be “cleared”.
We have in-depth experience of the process required to “Make a Demonstration” that risks are ALARP and have helped a number of clients achieve, wherever possible within existing operational processes and procedures. Human Factors policy We help implement human factors in your SMS and safety case Human Factors in the Safety Case We can either bring all your HF processes together into a dedicated HF chapter in the safety case or identify and signpost your HF activities through the safety case to help the Case Assessors understand how you address HF. Control of Work We can review your control of work – PTW and supervision process to endure they meet the new requirements and show you what is required. Maintenance management We are experts in the human factors of planned and unplanned maintenance and have developed tools to identify high risk tasks and effective controls that can support your PTW and contractor management. |
